Knowledge is king, set yourself up for success. There are service bulletins that change specific procedures written in the service manual. Before wrenching inside your engine it is wise to obtain them from your service dept. Harley changed the Cam support plate tightening procedure a long time ago.

I'd love to hear it. I'm just going off the Factory Service Manual.

Can you elaborate on a revised Cam support plate procedure?

This is the newest SB I have, it is not current, contains outdated oil pump information. . I do not know if the support plate procedure is current or not..

Thanks for taking the time to document this. I plan on doing my stage 2 as soon as my new pump shows up, will definitely use this.

I’d like to echo all previous responses. Not sure I would ever attempt this my bike but would certainly like to shadow someone doing theirs. Excellent advice throughout. Thanks for taking the time to post. 👍
