Just slip on will not void your warranty. It is the tune that will void your warranty. Leave the stock head pipe and air intake and you should be fine. I installed the Magnaflow Knockouts and I love the deep rumble.
I appreciate that thought. I can buy whatever but the reviews I've read claim that these are great pipes. I started out looking at FM pipes then looked from there. I realize they are probably cheap knockoffs but if they work, they work. Is there a real difference between $700 slip ons and $200? That's what I'm asking.

Quality of the Chrome is what Id be concerned with. I have the Fuel moto and love them. Great quality, sound and performance. Cant go wrong with them. Loud enough but not something you'll get sick of if you take a trip.
S&S MK45's. Best sounding in my opinion! 4.5". No exhaust by itself will be obnoxiously loud on an M8 without cam and headers decatted, but the mk45s are deep and have a good rumble to them.
Save your money. I bought a pair of the 4.5s a few months ago. They sound terrific but after about a 1,000 miles the baffles had so much rust coming out of them that it just deposited and sprayed out the ends. Looked like ****. I just installed a new set of Rinehart DBX45s and I'm very satisfied. Spend the money now and get a quality American made set of pipes. Don't say you weren't warned.
Question, do you ride in an overly wet area that would cause the internal baffles to rust? I already have SE pipes but I just ordered their 36" sharktail exhaust because I had a gift card and got them for $150 shipped... Figured I'd give them a chance, always loved fishtail exhausts.

Doesn't necessarily have to do with riding in wet/rain. Condensation builds up in the pipes when they cool down (or heat up). Take notice of your exhaust when your first start your bike in the morning.
I live in Central FL so humidity is a concern.
You guys have shamed me into buying good stuff, no sense betting cheap but I also really have no issue with the stock system. It sounds great. I'd like a different look coming out behind the bags, that's what got me looking.
A full exhaust system is about $1500. You can buy a rinehart system for about 1200 and their junk.
I went with old faithful, Thunderheader and my bike changes instantly.

I've seen the condensation before, but I'll keep an eye on the new pipes and see if it's similar to the SE pipes I have now. Thanks

For the most part, yes you'll get higher quality items if you spend a bit more, but it's significantly more important to get reputable brands than spend more.
I've been using my Hogworkz LED headlight, Amazon windshield, and eBay windshield bag for 8k miles now. In that same time my friend has had his Daymaker headlight, HD windshield, and HD windshield on the bag. You know what the differences are? My headlight has better light distribution and I saved about $600 for products that have held up just as well as his in adverse conditions.
