While the heads are the same and the cylinder will bolt on the pistons will not work as the engines have different stroke: 107 (4.375") vs 117 (4.50"), the compression height is different between pistons.

Corrected the stroke measurements for you.

Why would you stop at 117? If you are going to pay for the R&R, might as well go to a 124.

Thank you for catching that , diddnt have my coffee yet. Like virtually everyone in the industry including S&S, Darkhorse Crankworks, etc.. we round to 4.375"

Our thoughts exactly. The info below is from the FM University site that discusses the various bore & strokes of the Milwaukee-8 engine> https://university.fuelmotousa.com/a...ement-info/H-D Milwaukee-8 107" = 3.937" bore X 4.375" stroke
H-D Milwaukee-8 114" = 4.00" bore X 4.5" stroke
H-D Milwaukee-8 117" = 4.075" bore X 4.5" stroke

Harley SE Stage III and IV kits:
Milwaukee-8 Stage III/IV 114 kits = 4.075" bore X 4.375 stroke
Milwaukee-8 Stage IV 117 kit = 4.075 bore X 4.5" stroke
Milwaukee-8 Stage III/IV 119 kits = 4.155" bore X 4.375 stroke
Milwaukee-8 Stage III 122 kits = 4.155" bore X 4.5" stroke
Milwaukee-8 Stage IV 128 kits = 4.310" bore X 4.375 stroke
Milwaukee-8 Stage IV 131 kits = 4.310" bore X 4.5 stroke

HD list the 107 as 4.374" stroke so everyone doesn't list it that way and Junior High school math teaches you how to round numbers. If the number is 5 or higher you round up, lower than 5 you round down. So if your going to round it would round down to 4.37" There is just no reason to not use the correct numbers and just because someone else does it wrong doesn't make it any more correct. All you can do is correct your stuff and move on.

I was just about to ask the same question. A friend of mine has a 2020 CVO Roadglide that came with the 117. 2k miles later he upgraded to the 131. He is giving me everything that didn’t transfer over to the 131 upgrade. What all is required for this to work? I have done the stage 1 kit on my 107. Thanks in advance.

While the parts do have cash value there is not a whole of value using the 117 parts on your 107. The 117 cylinder heads are essentially the same as your 107 heads, as noted above the pistons will not work as the compression heights are different between strokes. About the only benefit would be the 117 cylinder has a thicker sleeve than the 107 cylinder if you choose to bore it. You can bore the 117 cylinder to 4.180” which would yield 120” on the 107’s “4.375” stroke here> https://www.cp-carrillo.com/n-12091-...-180-bore.html makes for a nice running combo.

thanks for the reply. As I did more researching, I did come to the conclusion that it wouldn’t work.
