Hey guys I have a 2017 CVO street glide with the 114. Im pulling the trigger on a 131 Harley crate engine. I would like to know what you think is the best after market cam for this. Im going with the D@D billet cat and high flow air cleaner. Also, is there anything else I need to upgrade with this set up? I appreciate all suggestions. Warranty is of no concern either. Thanks guys!

why not build up what you have with aftermarket goodies? there's so many great success stories over the years using the product sponsors here and elsewhere, whereas that crate motor doesn't have a lot of history..I dunno', sure you considered all that..just seems you can get as much or more for less and better quality
You can build what you have, with better aftermarket parts, but if you have your heart set on that 131 crate, just go with a Woods 22XE, and then tune her with a PowerVision from Fuel Moto.
I was definitely planning on tuning the bike with power vision tuner. I heard the max cell 837b cam is a great choice for this motor but I cant seem to find it online. Thanks for the response!
Call Fuel moto. get a better build , more power , it will hold up better and save you money. You do know that the your are not done spending when the motor shows up ? You need more than the crate motor to be up and running.
I understand the screw the warranty thing I am about to toss the warranty with 490 miles on a 2020.
H-D engines are severely underpowered, a good aftermarket build is the way to go if youre not worried about warranty, I bet a 107 with a cam and a good exhaust is just as good as a 131
After careful consideration and talking with some friends Ive decided to scrap the 131. Im going with the redshift 468 cam D@D Billet cat and Powervision tuner. Ive also ordered the S@S cam plate and high flow oil pump. They tell me on a 114 I can get 130+ torque and about 110-112 horsepower. Id be extremely happy with that considering how the 114 runs stock. Ive always loved the power on my bike. I think this route is way more reliable and economical. On Harleys website it says the 131 gets about 131 ft lbs of torque. I cant see spending all the money for a crate engine when I can get there with a cam and good tune. Im not really chasing horsepower either. This should be a significant upgrade over stock. Ill keep you posted on how it goes. Thanks fellas I appreciate all the tips and advice! Ps do you think I need to upgrade the air cleaner too for this build? I think mine is high flow cause its a CVO. Just curious
Gman
Sense you plan on S&S oil pump why not just pick up a S&S chest kit with oil pump. You in there do it all and the kit has it all shop smart and you can save a good bit. Your AC looks fine for a stage2 I think..
Keep in mind a good cam is going to add sound sound to the bike so keep that in mined when picking mufflers.
Some S&S kits come with the rubber gasket included some on the shelf may not have it. Not required but a latter add on . It is worth having if the kit you get does not have it. cheap part.
