The vent is installed to eliminate the problem of transmission lube migration over to the primary, it has nothing to do with sumping, that is a engine issue.

Just about everyone likes to work on their own bikes, but sometimes you need to let the mechanics, mechanic.

I come from a world far away, long before the internet, where we figured it out. No YouTube certification here.

I spent 44 years as an aviation mechanic, and I find that the modern Harley service manuals are well written and laid out, the earlier ones do not compare to the later manuals.

I noticed power loss in certain situations and mensioned it to my dealer. They found oil in the crank position sencer and replaced the oil pump with the new 2020 8 lobe oil pump under warranty.

So thought I would ask if any had had oil pump issues .
Like Keithhu and others have said, this is not a sign of sumping. Contrary to the owners manual, try keeping your engine oil a little low - about half way between the full and add marks (about 4 quarts or just under). That will probably take care of it. If not, you can install an external breather system,,, like that from DK Customs or make your own There are a lot of threads here about EBS..

I haven't had a lot of success with the search function here either. I just search Google, and it usually leads you right back here to the answer that you're looking for.

Actually I do the same. Use google and end up back on this forum but on the right threads. That being said there's nothing wrong with asking again as riders always have new experiences to report on.

My apologies....having one of those days for 2 days now. I did manage to find the battery tender for my motorcycle this morning.

I posted the 'fix' to a different issue. I need to pay better attention ! This had nothing to do with the topic being discussed on this thread. First beer's on me if you ever get out to Vail.
