Default Dielectric grease - how much in a spark plug boot?

M8 ... when replacing the spark plugs how much dielectric grease is appropriate and where to put it ... on the plug porcelain or just up on the cap in the boot or ???

Also ... anti-seize on the threads or no?

Thx

Just a dab of dielectric grease in the boot and yes to antiseize, don't over do it, just a dab on the threads

I've been getting a random missfire (with an accompanying snapping sound) after changing my plugs, I'm thinking I may have overdone it with the dielectric grease, seems to be mostly within the first few miles of startup and when under acceleration ...

Agree with all the above posts, a dab here and a dab there.

Most likely you either cracked a plug when installing it or you don't have a wire clipped on all the way (excess dielectric grease can cause a hydrolock in the boot )

Silly question, but did you get HD spark plugs or properly spec’d OEM plugs?

Dielectric grease is non conductive, so your snap and miss fire is a spark leak.
