Default Street/Road Guide ST... Interesting

Been looking at Harley's new Street Glide ST and Road Gide ST. Is my dealer crazy or is this the normal at ALL dealers across the county. First, I guess that Harley's $1000 surcharge is on all ST bikes, second and I don't know if it's normal or my dealer is trying to stick to me, they added another $2500 to the MSRP, plus now shipping is $750.

So, has anyone talked to your dealer about one of these Electra Glide ST's, I mean Street Glide ST, or purchased one? Has my dealer gone crazy? Looking back at the Street Glide ST now, it looks a lot like Harley took an Electra Glide Standard, painted the wheels gold added a 117 and a GTS for $10,000 more. May not be worth the $29,999 MSRP. Your thoughts.

I don't think the ST is worth $2500 over the Special. But for sure, I'm glad I got my 2020 before all this surcharge madness started

I thought $2500 above MSRP was outrageous, but $5000. Can't think of any bike that's worth $5000 above MSRP.l Well, hopefully folks will stop and think before buying at these prices and the dealers will end up with lots of inventory. Then maybe they'll come to the reality that we won't pay those prices.

I'm guessing that there are so many "how much a month" rubberheads out there that most dealers don't need to make anyone a good deal any more. I just paid MSRP for a 22 Heritage and actually feel good about the deal I got.

You hit the nail right on the head! "don't worry about the extra $2500 it only raises your payment a couple dollars a month", says the dealer. It may be harder and harder to sell these bikes as the prices rise and interest rates too.

I was just looking at the pricing on my RG special. The price breakdown on it included $1000 surcharge, the dealer says it's across the board

Harley-Davidson and probably lots of other big ticket item sellers are realizing that many homeowners, with the pretty drastic increase in home values, are now sitting on 10's of thousands or more in extra equity in their homes which they are willing to tap into to buy that new motorcycle, boat, pickup..etc..

I purchased a Road Glide ST. Cost includes $650 freight and $1000 surcharge.
Bike will have the RDRS on it as well for $1025 for a $32,474 sticker for the black. Dealer wouldn't move on those extra charges when I tried to get the price down. I did get a discount on some extras and labor to install them.
Dealer told me that Harley is making them increase freight to $800 and surcharge to $1200. Even with bikes they already had on the floor. I didn't have to pay the increase.

It’s a cycle and the Dealers think they have the upper hand these days. It will come to an end one day, sure as hell. It’s up to us to decide what to pay for a bike or not, regardless of what the dealer charges. I won’t ever pay anything over mandatory Harley pricing, no matter how much I like a bike.
