Better double check your coverage.

I paid $465 for a full year last September through HD Progressive. If they have changed to Dairyland I haven't been notified. Thanks for the tip.

I just shopped insurance for full coverage on my Limited and liability only on the other two bikes. Progressive was $512 and Geico was $272 with lower deductibles. All the other quotes I could get online were higher with some being double Progressive's rate. Progressive has been by far the lowest rate for the cars the last few years every time I have checked.

I would love to live in the US just for the cheap bike insurance. Insurance for two bikes (2017 FLHTK and 2010 Bonneville T100) in Canada sets me back CDN$2,000 per year. Insurance companies the Province of Ontario state that motorcyclists must maintain full coverage for the entire year (1 year policies only), even though they sit in the garage for 6 months due to weather. I am shocked by the rates I am seeing on this thread and makes me realize how bad i am getting screwed over.

I have all my vehicles with State Farm. When I got my 2017 RK they were out of their mind expensive.. Like , well over a grand. I'm 57, clean record etc... The dealership hooked me up with Progressive for around $500.00 a year here in NJ.

One of the biggest costs on a motorcycle policy is medical coverage. Now,if your 65 or older and get medicare, you don't need it.You only have to cover your passenger if that person doesn't have it.

Default Progressive Insurance

Mine is on a 2018 Road King, no "fob" security or ABS.... $250 a year full coverage, $1000 deductible. I also get a discount for Drivers safety course, I take/do one about every three years.... Good luck, CSM-H

PS: in Communist state of Maryland.....

WOW, I'm shocked at what people are paying. My Wife and I have two 2001 FatBoys. Premium was $217 per year for both bikes with Allstate. I added my 2018 Road King Special to the policy three weeks later....and it was an additional 74 bucks! So, just under 300 bucks for 3 bikes.

Disclaimer- I also have two cars, two boats and my homeowners with Allstate.

HD Insurance is just underwritten by Progressive "If I recall" and then HD adds their markup to it to make their money. I called the MoCo to check on this a few years back. Suppose that could have changed. I left Progressive finally a year ago and bundled Home/Auto/Bike all with AllState. It was the only way to save. Calling just on bike insurance alone, quotes were getting ridiculous.

A few post back somebody else in BC said the same thing... OUCH! Honestly I don't think I would even own a bike if I had to pay that to ride 6 months. That's $330/month just for insurance to ride those 6 months?? I pay less then one month of your premiums for an entire year. $220/Year full coverage....
