Just went through this and have a tip for folks on the Uninsured motorist part. If you have a car policy with the same company, it is GENERALLY cheaper to "stack" your UM coverage on the auto policy rather than buying it through your cycle policy. Stacking means that one policy covers vehicles on all policies. Please don't just take my word for it (although I researched it and asked multiple agents and always got the same answer). Just ask your agent if you are in the same boat as me - i.e. wanting UM coverage and having a car policy with the same company! I am in FL, so don't know if that matters.

You never know how good your insurance is till you have to file a claim. That is where you really find out who is the best. Currently with Progressive, have been with Allstate in the past, I usually check around every year before I renew just to see the differences, usually not enough to switch.

Being in Florida makes a HUGE difference. Especially if you happen to be in South Florida. I have my car insurance through Progressive and my bike is insured through Geico. It's about $360 every 6 months with 100/300/50 as well as some additional coverages.

It's so hard to compare insurance costs and what a pain in the butt! It's silly to compare your rates with another person because everyone is a different risk and often different policies or carriers have different coverages...

If you're shopping around I had great luck with the team at https://www.itscovered.com
They work with about 20 insurance carriers and can sell policies in pretty much every state

It’s highly dependent upon where you live. As such, living in San Diego...mine is outrageous.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a rate better then what Markle Motorcycle ins offers as you are dealing direct with the company
But no sense on asking others, open a web browser and start getting quotes,

As others have said, its almost impossible to ask other riders as your rate depends on where you live, what your driving record is and what your credit score is, oops and your claims history )

About 500 per year and they are great. I do have Auto with them too.

I've never had to use it thank god. The only bikes I've crashed are when I was a kid (and I had no insurance then)
