Good Insurance Story (and company)
Hey Guys:
Glad to see this topic out on HD Forums.
Went out West last summer with my bro - 6000 mile trip to all the National Parks on the way to Sturgis '09.
Were rolling through Braudus Montana and had a slow rear flat. Called HOG Roadside assistance. They told me the closest Harley dealaer was 91 miles away in Gillette Wyoming. Lucky for me there was a flat bed right in town.
Great! Wonder how much the flatbed tow bill was? $450.00.
Luckily HOG Roadside covered the first $100. So now I am down to having to shell out $350.00.
Turns out the week before I left for Sturgis, I changed insurance companies to Grange Insurance. When I called them I found out they covered towing to the closest facility that can fix the bike. In this case it was 91 miles away. All I had to pay for was replacing the tire and oil change. They cut me a check right away.
After I submitted my claim they didnt raise my rate. I would recommend Grange insurance.
