in my signature is no longer with us. We buried him today, he died of stomach cancer. This time last year we were planning another trip to Sturgis in the fall. Never sick until around May, started having a little trouble with his stomach. Went to the Doctor right away, they discovered the cancer and removed his stomach and part of his esophagus. He still wonted to go to Sturgis and we made plans , but then things went down hill. He turned 60 last Oct. and was doing good at the time. When I got ready leave his party that night he pulled me over to the side and told me that this would be his last. We blazed a trail to Sturgis, we roared to Rolling Thunder , we tamed the Dragon, cruised the BRP and several weekend trips. Damn I'm I going to miss Steve. Enjoy you friends while you can and don't put the trips off to long. David
I'm sorry for your loss and for his family's loss. The older we get, the more we notice that friends and family are leaving us more and more often. It's a blow when you find out you're not immortal after all. It's an even bigger blow to bury a good friend.
It sounds like he had an opportunity to live it up as much as possible toward the end, and for that and for the time you knew him you can be thankful.
Carpe diem people.
