Default Hell of a guy!

Thats too bad...

I know people either fell on one side or the other with Howard. Having delt with all the other companies that sell Ohlins shocks Howard was by far my favorite to work with. He never tired to oversell me, always did a great job for me and beat out the competition price wise. I am glad I got to do business with him on multiple occasions. Even though he could be a challenge I always enjoyed talking with him at length over the phone. He will be missed.

I talked to him a couple times and he was very colorful but was truly interested in me as a person. I knew something wasn’t right when he left me a message a couple months ago.RIP

RIP Howard.

I found Howard to be a straight up guy. There was no BS with him. I got his 30mm fronts, and 14” rears. It did take a while, but once I got everything, it was perfect. That is to be expected when you’re getting something custom, something a lot of guys miss when they order parts and think they’re gonna get it the next day. His knowledge and skill will be missed.

Damn...I just saw this today.

Howard was indeed a character. I used to say that he had forgotten more about motorcycle suspensions than most people think that they know.

I know a lot of folks probably thought he was a gruff old bastard, but I honestly thought he was a very direct guy that spoke his mind, with no bullshit. I knew a handful of guys just like him in the Marine Corps, so his no BS demeanor never bothered me a bit. He was always available to discuss specifics about your order, or help you set up your new Ohlins suspension. That's probably why I bought 3 different sets of Ohlins from him for 3 different Harleys that I owned.

Bottom line is he will be missed. He was an honest guy that provided a superior product for a great price. That's all good in my book.
