All, tell me what makes Sportster1200 less than another HD model dollar wise??
This SP 1200's will nilelate any of the HD models from light to light runs.
There is 12grand worth of accessorys on this SP.
This SP looks good and have won some bike shows with out even changing out the front end or a bigger rear tire, there is a AME front end kit that could go along with this bike for extra $$.

stevieg-You can get? So why dont you? You gobuythat 07 SB and bring it here to Falls Church Va, and I will run you straight up from light to light for cash, but you won't buy it so that's moot.

rkharley- I understand what your saying, everyone expects a steamen deal or there a bike-value-experthere on the forums, and my add says OBO but I'm not giving it away, if I do not sell,Imight put it back to stock and I willput it upfor 10 grand.
My dealer has brand new 2007s for $9300 and you can get 2.9% financing on a new one, full 2 year warrenty.
bryon703, all of us take a beating when selling our bikes. Many people just trade them in and dont worry about it. People view it as the "price to ride".Even the softails and touring will lose $2K, plus taxes and fees when they are sold.I would recomendyou put it back to stock and try $8000 and ebay all the extras.

I have two here for $8K each - barely ridden, not selling so, yes,I know.

You might reconsider the $10K price.

Looks like we'll be keeping ours. That's OK, too. Sounds like HD hasn'tresolved the heat issues, etc. with'08 Touring bikes yet.

Guys, It is very hard to sell a biketoward the end of the summer. Most people that wanted a bike this year already bought one. Hang in there. Wait until the Spring, March-May and you should get some bites.

Whole heartedly agree with your statement. I bought 2 new Harleys this summer. I don't regretbuying my Nightster but I wish I had shopped around and bought a used Super Glide or Street Bob ..... could have saved a few thousand bucks

I think your best bet is to bring it back to stock and sell the parts separately on forums. That's what I did with my V-Rod and I did ok.

Oh by the way, and V-Rod will SMOKE your Sporty right out of the showroom. Just a lil FYI, hehe.

Good luck with the sale.

nutsy-My SP 1200 is a 07 with 2200 miles andnot an 04 with 13K miles.

Don't worry pepole may be not here but it will sell, there is an AME (41 mm tubes)front end kitsitting my garage that I will put on, and I know it will sell for more than 14K. Therewere some raked outSP 1200 in my area that sold for around 19-21K, and those were 05,06's.

From light to light runs this SP seems to hould it own againts the V-Rod, Ibought an2005 (200 miles) SE V-Rod and ran it againtsmy SP and was surprized to the SP kept taking it off the line each time by acar a car or so, i am thinking gearing has somthing to do with it, any ways I just got done istalling a turbo kit on my V, andit's making 176HP/115TQ that the end.

So, how much should ask for this SP again? Would 11ksell it? Oh, no too-much, 9k will do??

I'd have to say the rider had a lot to do with it too... Maybe you're just FAR better than the V-Rod guys you were riding with.

Look, I'm selling a Sporty too. The more they go for the better for me. But I just don't see a Sporty getting that kind of money. That doesn't mean I'm not hoping for you to get it though. Good luck.

Dealer floored my 01 Road King on a pre trade, they sold it and got 16,500, so i got 18,000 in total trade and they charged me nothing but having to buy a new one from them. Just another option for you.
