Hey guy's, I'm coming over for Sturgis 2008 and want to travel in the mountainstates ( I think you call it) and want to get a cell for the U.S.

Which company has best coverage of the Dakota, Colorado to L.A coverage, or are they all the same?

 

Verizon Wireless Americas choice. while you dont get lots of minutes (depending on plan) i have it and i have coverage in the middle of nowhere. more so than other providers. its works in the tetons, on the indian res in s. dakota, bumfuk utah and middle of the desert in CA.
but if you are not going to be in the US for 1 year min any of the providers has penalties for canceling before end of contract.
perhaps one of the verizon buy the cheap phone and buy th ecalling cards is a better way to go

 

Verizon is the absolute best in Colorado. I snowboard and ridea LOT, Been everywhere in Colorado. Very few places do not have coverage with Verizon, so I would go with them.

 

Verizon. Hands down. Have let alot of folks use my phonewhen they couldn't get a signal from their carrier.

 

I'm not from your area but Verizon has been the best for me. I know someone that has a business which he talks all day on his cell, so much he burns the phones up after a few months of use. He drove from Cali to Michigan and said he never lost a call. keep in mind different phones have different signal strengths. I did some research on howardforums before I picked the phone I now have.

 

Had Verizon all my cell phone life and have covered most of the west and a couple of trips across the USofA with less than half a dozen places where Ihaven't hadcoverage. I live on the Oregon coast and my cell is my primary phone. Most other providers don't have coverage here.

I have sprint and I have never had a problem. I actually was in Sturgis last June for some military training at the Sturgis airport and I never lost service at all.
