Just saying Hi
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2008 Heritage Softail Classic. It is pearl white with the silver inlay on the tins. Its mostly stock but has a few add ons. I've owned it since new. It has close to 60,000kms on it. Been using Amsoil 20w-50 full synthetic with an OEM oil filter since after the break in. I don't beat the bike. I do however lean into the throttle occasionally just to open her up and let her breath. I am about to do a cam chain tensioner inspection/replacement on it. From what I've already read on here, they are probably fine, but I am going to check them anyway for peace of mind. I'd rather be proactive, than wait for the lower end to grenade. Came here looking for advice and tips to help me through the project, and any other jobs down the road. I may consider going to gear drives if possible and getting rid of the chains all together. That will all depend on cost I guess.
