A little bit about the folks at Long Ride Shields
Fellow Riders,
I purchased a Polycarb LRS shield for my bike around the end of 2014. I previously had a standard acrylic LRS shield.
I must have picked up a rock or something on my ride last weekend, because there were a couple of small nicks in the shield.
I had experienced small blems like this before with the old acrylic shield and was able to rub them out with some NOVUS polish. I tried to rub out the chips on the new shield and really boogered it up. I created a hazy spot about he size of a .50 piece.
I emailed LRS and explained I was a bonehead. I asked if they had any advice on how I could repair the shield. James from LRS responded back and told me how Polycarb is actually glass coated and cannot be buffed out like my old shield could.
James followed up and provided me with an EXTREMELY generous opportunity to get a replacement! I do not know what the warranty window is, but I am sure I was past it. Furthermore, it was totally my fault and not even a warranty issue.
I know that a lot of you have read glowing reviews about their LRS product, but may not have had a first hand experience with the company. I can attest to LRS' commitment to customer service and providing a great product.
If curious, here is a link to LRS: http://www.longrideshields.com/

I had a custom etched windshield from them on my 2013 FLHTK. It was destroyed in the wreck I had in October last year. When I called to get another custom etched shield for my new ride I explained the circumstances and asked if they still had the artwork. James was amazing and offered me a very generous price on the new custom etched shield. Great product made even better by the people that work there. I will buy only LRS windshields for my bike(s).
