Default No Drilling Plate Relocation...

Actually I got this Idea from a member here ( Traildog ) Thank You.

I did a little modification, made It much more sturdy. Still needs some trimming and clean up total cost $7.00.

Never seen the softbrake product, I have been following all the threads relating to plate relocation and as far as I know there are only five options, 1 Is the ridiculous one HD sells, there Is a drilling option, one that Is at the bottom of the fender and one that relocates It to the saddle bag and This one.

As far as I know there are no after market options.

They've had them for years. Their website (http://www.softbrake.com) is being re-done now. Here's mine, finished, with a Radiantz LED plate bracket. No drilling. Just mentioning for most of us that dont have the ability or desire to fabricate.

JP Cycles carries it - http://www.jpcycles.com/product/340-735 - the fitment stated is incorrect, thats the part I used for my 13 FLTRU, I believe it will fit on the Rushmore bikes as well.

I don't think that would work on limited bikes.

Thanks for posting the link, looks like I saved 80 bucks doing It myself, I'm happy with mine and If for some reason It's not functional I'll revisit this site.

The brackets are about $40. And I'm not suggesting you should be happy with what you did.

I'm just saying that most people dont have the skills, time or desire or equipment to fab up a solution when forty bucks and 15 minutes will suffice.

Glad you saved some shekels, but I'm just trying to help out the less fortunate rest of us, who would rather ride than fab...

I KID, I KID!
