Default Rusty Holes ..

Pulled the passenger floorboards off my new 2016 Road King about a week ago and on my past touring bikes would put those plastic plugs back in the hole. Well of course my dealer does not have any thing in stock and was wondering what else may be available ?

I do the same thing and usually use the plugs until this last time. Someone on here suggested RTV silicon and it worked great. Just overfilled the holes a little and ran a straight edge over it to remove the excess.

I took my rear floorboards off because my wife has her own bike, and converted the bike to solo, and I filled the holes with stainless socket head cap bolts from local shop.

Have an Ace Hardware store near you ? That's where I bought mine, way cheaper than the dealer.

I used the stock black filler plugs from my wife's Dyna after removing them to install forward pegs. Sorry I don't have a picture as I have since traded the bike (mine).

Go to a auto supply store and get 5/16 body panel retainer plugs. They will fit right in. That's what I did.
