Default Lowering passenger footboards

I have a 2016 Ultra Limited and was wondering if there is anyway to lower the passenger footboards. My wife is only 5'4" but feels that the boards would be more comfortable lowered just a bit.

I just lowered the passenger boards on my '16 RK. Undo both bolts, but just loosen the bottom one and don't take it out. They are 2 different size bolts. There are 3 holes to choose from for the top bolt. You can drop the floorboard down about 2 inches.

I do not think you can do this on a Ultra Limited. I had a 12 Streetglide and there were 3 holes to adjust but the Ultra does not have them. The dealer said you can loosen the bolts and adjust maybe 1/2".

Take out the top bolt the bottom bolt just holds the bracket from rotation and you move the bracket up and down with it in. If you notice with the bracket in the lowest position you are not able to tighten the lower bolt it is blocked by the mount. Hope this helps. Wasn't clear in the instructions when I installed The adjustable foot rest ended up boogering up the bottom bolt when you never need to touch it at all. 15 LTD

Heck, my wife is 5'4" and she made me buy the brackets to RAISE the passenger boards. Says she likes them much better.
