Default Older Hammock seat on Rushmore?

Still having tailbone soreness... I need to try another seat. A year ago I ordered a Hammock for my 2014 FLHTK. I liked it, but my wife did not. The passenger pillion is SMALLER on the Hammock than the stock ultra seat. The pics of the older model hammock appear like the passenger pillion is wider. Some sites say that it works with newer bikes w/out the tour pack.
I don't understand how it would bolt on and not fit with the tour pack. There's tons of room??
I was going to order one to try. I looked at other brands.. nearly ALL of them (saddleman, mustang, etc.) have smaller passenger area. So they are out of the question.

Thoughts?

have had one of the pre 14 hammocks on a 14 limited and 16 RGU. Fits fine. I don't ride with a passenger on either one of those bikes so don't know what the passenger thinks about it. A video on line said the new hammock ( 14 and up ) puts the rider an inch closer to the ground.

A few weeks ago I bought a 2009 hammock from a friend for $50. Fits perfect on my 2014 limited, and the passenger seat doesn't appear to be smaller, but it is more comfortable.

So those of you running the older hammock on the rushmore... are you also running a tour pack?

The 13 and older Hammock fits a 14 and newer just fine. I use one on my 14 Limited. I like the older Hammock better, more legroom for me. The newer ones are a little lower and a little more forward for the rider. My wife liked both the stock seat and Hammock, no difference to her.

I just put my 2011 hammock on my 14 limited and I like it. But, for whatever reason, it feels lower. Maybe it's the additional leg room. My wife can't tell the difference.

This is fantastic news... Can't wait to get it now. Here is a pic of the limited seat right beside the "new" hammock. You can plainly see how they cut down the passenger pillion. The stock is on the left.

I don't understand why they build these bikes (an most other powersports vehicles) for guys that are 5'8". According to the interweb (where all things in writing are true), the average american male is now 5'10".

Wouldn't it make sense to make the limited bikes for a rider at least that large? The shorter dudes have the low models now?
