Stock m8 vs modified twin cam

Stock m8 vs modified twin cam
I know the discussions been had, but ive only seen stock for stock. I had a post earlier on the rushmore vs pre rushmore bikes. Ive decided im going to go with a rushmore bike, but, the twin cam and m8 were both offered in the rushmore platform. The m8 would stay stock to maintain the warranty. The twin cam, i would do at least cams, intake, exhaust, and possibly pistons and heads. Any input would be appreciated. The m8 is nice, but i like to be able to mod my toys. Any thoughts from anyone? Dyno charts between m8 and twink arent that different above say 2500 rpms with a small edge going to the m8 i believe due to the added displacement.

JMHO,
I like the fact that you can still Mod a Twin Cam. M8s, you can but you will be up against the Warranty issue IF anything were to a rise.
The M8 is a great platform to build up and will someday be a proven performer for sure. However, not even being able to change out headers and pipes for aftermarket stuff is a turn off to me.
Lots of folks are very happy with their new M8 Bikes with NO problems. Then again there are folks with the M8 bikes with problems when leaving for their first voyage out of the dealership parking lot.
Although my old 2009 CVO Roadie is very highly modified via DH Crank work, Head work, aftermarket parts throughout the motor, SE 117" Pro Race kit, etc, etc. I have no plans for a new Rig and can ride anywhere, any time with the upmost confidence that I can ride it home everytime!

fyi..... they can void your warranty on a twin cam, for the same reasons as the M8 zero difference...... on a brighter note..... my dealer says my warranty is good..... they just installed a full stage 4 .... with my jackpot header, fuel moto intake and power vision tuner, and SS MK45 slip ons. im running 120 hp 120 torque she runs very strong....

Your warranty will always "be good." If your stereo breaks, your engine mods aren't going to negate that. But as pertains to your engine....sure, your warranty is good if you break down in your home area and your dealer goes to bat for you. You break down on a trip, well, you better be renting a uhaul to drive that puppy home so your home dealer can deal with it.

sorry... i said that was onthe 103 ho.... i also said i have a stage 4 on my 17 SGS...... you said that a built 107 was probably as good as a built 103..... im suggesting that the M8 put out better numbers with the same build...
