Blood Thinners? You still riding??

Myself being 52 years old and been a firefighter/EMT in the Central Florida area for the past 30 years, I've ran many a incident involving people who are post-op or a person on a blood thinner due to A-Fib. This is my own personal opinion about riding a motorcycle and being on blood thinners, ride for you and live your life for today, tomorrow may not be here for any of us, so live and ride while you still can. Joan Baez said it best, "You cannot decide how or when you will die, you can only choose how you will live today"

I was at my Surgeons office this week and we talked about blood thinners. He is one Super Surgeon and just all around good guy - he is 75 and rides - in fact just bought a new 2017 Harley... When I ask him about this - he said, well - I am on blood thinners and I ride. He then said, my friends think I am crazy but I love to ride.. So there ya go...

3 heart attacks. One death. One revival. Lol. Pacemaker and Defibrillator. I'm riding. If the defibrillator had any instances of going off I'd get a trike. But me one doc thinks it was overkill. Been in for 6 years. Never an issue. Knock on wood.
I lift heavy weights, ride my bike. Basically I am living my life. I'm ok with dying while living. But not couch bound scared. That's not living. But we all have our limits. So YMMV.
