Default Michelin or dunlop's

It's time for tires, 2016 ultra classic. I ride mostly 2 up and have ohlin shocks and springs. So the question oem Dunlop or Michelin? Also I ride a lot in the mountains with a lot of tight turns.
Thanks Allen

I have always been a Michelin man. The Commander II on my Dyna Switchback were the ****.

But for my newest pair of shoes (the first on the Ultra), I went with the Dunlop American Elites. I have heard good things about them on the heavy touring bikes and wanted to try them. Since Dunlop has a rebate on them now making them less expensive than the MC2s, I went for it. https://www.dunlopmotorcycletires.co...ce/promotions/

If it ever stops raining long enough to get to the shop, I'll be installing them soon.

Dunlops. I have over 17k miles on my current oem tires and see no reason to change. I recently watched Law Abiding Biker review and have to agree with everything he said about these tires, which is they handle better in the rain the Michellins.

Both good choices. I'd go with the AEs over the Harley stock tires if you go Dunlop. The Michelin Commander IIs are great too. I've run all of them.

I've tried both on other bikes I've owned and the best tires are the ones that come with a new bike. I have 18,000 miles on my 15 Limited and the tread on them tells me I will easily make 20,000.

Michelin Commander ll's outlast and ride better than Dunlop's. My Dunlop's cupped at 17,000 miles. The Michelin's I have owned never cupped.

I've had both an found them both to be great tires. I put AE's on my current Limited and MC2's on my previous Ultra. I got a $75 rebate when I bought my Dunlops.

Why would not include Avon Cobra ? (probably a better choice )
