Now if they will just issue a "Product reliability campaign" to replace all the old style pumps like they did with the voltage regulators in 2012.

Thanks for the link. Very detailed installation instructions. Wonder how many hours labor they'd charge?

Someone, not sure if on this thread or another said they charge 3 hours labor. Thinking about a $700 bill.

Until Dec. 2020, I suspect my pump will go South sometime right before then...

This is exactly what should be done, after all these pumps were defective right out of the door. There are many here who have paid big $ to have them replaced. Every Rush More bike from 14 to 16 should get this kit for free.

Seems a bit odd to me...

If there is no thermostat, it seems the ECU would have to turn the pump on & off. But... there is no mention of a software flash in the instructions that I can see? What a I missing?

I thought about this also. Maybe they just figure to have it run all the time. Either that or the pump itself has some electronics in it to cycle the pump on and off. You still have the temp sensor in the loop. Maybe the pump has a buildt in thermostat. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

On a 14-16, did the thermostat control the radiator fans and the pump ?

I'm hoping I don't regret it, but after 3 pump failures in 40k miles, I just ordered the kit. Planning on the new pump kit install being part of my winter maintenance. I am not typically an early adopter but have no faith in the old pump design.
I appreciate the excellent info. Thanks!
