Default Hey ya'll.......

Not a new member to the Forum, but a new member to the "Rushmore" section and thought I'd put myself out there. I recently traded in my 2nd of two '17 Road Kings after having them for 1-1/2 years and 29,000 miles combined. The 1st bike transferred tranny fluid sooooo bad that the MoCo gave my a brand new one to start all over again. Both were Stage IV. That one transferred as well but just not as bad. My main issue with the 2nd one was the 3 qt's of motor oil consumption in only 2500 miles, the pinging/tinging/ticking sounds, and all the smoke coming out of the *** end when I opened up the throttle. All warranty covered problems, but after a year and a half, I was done. I wanted a strong, solid, dependable motor for my wife and I to ride on without tripping about whether or not we were going to break down in the AZ desert or something, so I went back to a TC. Found this one with only 4600 miles on it and already fixed up the way I (almost) like it. Just need to to drop a cam and tuner into it and called it done..........lol, yeah right! Anyhow, I may try another M8 in a few years, but right now, I'm really pumped about my recent trade up/down or what you would call it, lol. I still have my '03 RK to play with when I want to ride with nothing in front of me but road, so I'm good!

Welcome to the TC world...bike looks nice!!! I wouldn’t call it a trade up or down, more like a trade for sanity’s sake....

Thanks man. Yeah, there are some really nice features to the M8 for sure, but when you dump 30K into a bike you should not have THAT many problems out of the gate! I've put over 800 mile on the '14 already and the oil has NOT moved, lol! Neither one!

I did the same thing. I had a '17 RGS and was lucky enough to find a still new '16 Limited on the floor and swapped back to that. I know of at least 3 other people who've done the same thing. Piece of mind for me. Good looking bike.
