Lancaster County PA Coverd Bridge Ride

I am not certain how many covered bridges there are in Lancaster county, but we toured Bucks County covered bridges and I think there are about 4 or 5 within 30 miles of each other. Bucks is really not far from the area you are speaking of. Google Bucks County covered bridges for a list...

There was a covered bridge charity ride yesterday that left the Ephrata American Legion and crossed eight covered bridges in Lancaster and Berks counties. The money went to the Walter Reed Hospital for wounded veterans. Unfortunately, it was an escorted ride and no maps were provided. However, if you search www.pacoveredbridges.com you will find a listing of all the covered bridges by county with GPS coordinates as well as year built and weather or not they are still open for travel. I think there are still about 200 in PA.

Lancaster Covered Bridges
Honkerdown - I'll look for a couple of gpx files when I get home. We're trying to visit/photograph all of the covered bridges in PA. Still haven't seen them all in Lancaster.
You can also check out http://www.poi-factory.comand search for PA Covered bridges. It'll bring up all of PA as well as Lancaster.
Another link to check is http://www.dalejtravis.com/cblist/cbpa.htm
Make sure the bridge is still there before you go. We made a trip up to Erie to see some bridges that are now gone.

Wasn't able to find a complete list at home - Sorry, I delete them from the list as I visit them.
I did download the PA Lancaster Covered bridges from poifactory.com, and it looks to be complete. I use MS Streets and Trips to plan the trips.
Pennsylvania welcome centers carry a book on covered bridges that's pretty nice. My wife bought me one "Pennsylvania Covered Bridges - A Complete Guide" by Benjamin and June Evans. It gives more detail on the history of the bridges.

Thanks to all who have given help. This morning with nothing to do due to the crappy weather I found two sites that had lists of the bridges. I went back and forth between the two and plotted the locations and made a route, using the harley ride planner I would be glad to send via email if anyone would like it. The ride as I planned starts and ends in Columbia but iI am sure you could modify it to start and finish where you want. Just send me and email if interested.
