Default oil temps

Hi, what is an acceptable range for oil temps? my oil temp is 250. Is this too high?
I've been having overheating issues.
Thanks

ranges for oil temp vary depending on equipment installed

oil must get above boiling point (210 or 212) degrees to boil off water.

after that many opinions.

my goal on all my bikes is between 230 and 255 degrees.

my 96, my 107 and my 120R all took different processes to get there but generally you need a oil cooler and a tuner to get much under 255. fans can get you lower. synethic oil is favored for higher temps as it does not breakdown as quickly from heat

outside air temp will be a factor.

your results will vary
