The wife and I went to the york plant last year 🤔 and you would be quite supprised just on how many bikes fail assembly and go into what they call the Harley Hospital.
Now that could be for both paint and trim defects, but in the 6 service bays they had, quite a few had the tanks and heads off for motor work.

The tour guide says it was unusually busy in there, but
about right on what ya see everyday.
So If your in York PA it’s worth the trip to the plant and take the steel toe tour and see the bike getting put together.
