Jagg oil cooler fan control switch question
#2
The Jagg instructions for the fan controlled cooler for the softtail models that uses a street T for the switch says this:
Apply Teflon pipe sealant (e.g., Loctite 592) to the 1/8” male pipe threads on the fitting
NOTE: 1/8” pipe threads should be installed to finger-tight, and then tightened an additional 2-to-2.5 turns.

I just tried my 3rd fan swiths from Jagg and for whatever reason they won't work. Installed as per instructions .Called Jagg this last time they sent me a lower temp switch still no luck but if I use a jump wire fan comes on
any have any thoughts on this ?

I didn’t install either their adapter plate or thermostat, I just connected to the accessory switch and turn them on when it’s hot. 35,000 miles and great.

I don't have any leaks . Just baffled why fan switches won't work. Put them in finger tight the and additional 2 and a half turns. Per instructions wondering if have restricted oil Flo thru adapter or something like that Jagg tech said is baffled by it so sent me a handelbar switch. That's too small for handelbars ..

Gonna call Jagg tomorrow and see if they will switch out much oil filter offset may it has an oil flow issue .Maybe the thremal valve in it us not operating right
i would think though that even heat transference through the switch would activate it .But maybe not

If you installed it on a canbus bike at the rear brake switch, it's not going to work! Canbus = 5v, you need 12v. Run a jumper from a 12v source (completely bypassing the stat) and try it.

Is the cooler is hot after a 1/2 hr ride? I have seen them come through with no element in them.
