Group I-V
So I just read the sticky called oil basics part 1. It talks about oils being a group I, II, III, IV, or V. But how do I find out which brand oil is what group?

Lubricant companies generally won't state the actual group numbers on the packaging. However, there are specific terms that they will use like PAO (Group 4) or Ester (Group 5) base stock.
Terms like PAO and Ester are easy to prove or disprove in testing and you will definitely market them if you are spending the added cost to use those bases.
Oils that use general terms like "Synthetic" or some variation like "Syn" are almost certainly using a Group 3 or lower base.
Let me know if you have any other questions as there is a ton more we could dive into with regards to quality of base oils, additives, etc.
