Became a preferred customer, it’s on my doorstep in 2 days for $3/quart cheaper than on any nearby.

Thanks!
I use the Amsoil website, and order the kit. 20-50, I run it in all 3 holes. I order a change kit, plus a quart, in case I should require some. So far, uses no oil.

If you ride a lot say 3 or more oil changes per year, then the membership pays off pretty well. IMHO
(opinions may varie)

The Amsoil website is a great source, the delivery was pretty fast, 3 days I believe. I've used them more than once.

Has anyone tried Amsoil transmission oil in their Harley? Any thoughts? I usually run Mobile one 75-140 gear oil. Recently was given Harleys transmission oil and I feel it’s not as smooth shifting as the Mobile one. I was just over at Daytona bike week and thought I’d pick up a quart of the Amsoil and try that when it’s due next time.

So to answer the thread question, I got my at the Daytona International Speedway during bike week 2024 and paid $21.00 bucks for a quart of transmission oil.

Harley manual transmissions aren't supposed to get final drive gear oil, are they? Those oils are for differentials, spiral bevel, and hypoid sliding gears - not for shifting transmission gear sets.

They are API GL-5 with EP extreme pressure additive that destroys any non-iron metal like synchro brass, etc.

Check the owners manual. You might be dissolving your transmission with Mobil 1 75W-140.

I went from factory oils (whatever the put in and 1k paid maintenance) to Red Line Shockproof 75W-90 (no EP). It definitely improved shifting, reduced shift clunking, and made neutral a bit easier to find. I keep reading owners getting better results yet with HD Heavy 80W-140 Syn Transmission Gear Oil, so gonna try that this year. Haven't read anyone using Amsoil Trans oil. NOT Severe Gear final drive gear oil.

I'm a preferred member too. I did drink the kool-aid last year and bought the Amsoil 20W50 Vtwin oil, Primary oil, and Vtwin tranny oil. So yes, unfortunately for me, 3 separate oils for the three holes.

I switched out the fluids on my 2020 RG early spring last year, draining whatever the dealer used. This spring I'll change all 3 holes again to get as much of the original fluids out of there. After that, I'll go longer for the primary and tranny. The jury is still out as to whether the shifting is smoother or not. I'll know better (or not) after I do the change for this season.

Amsoil does get a bit annoying with the constant sales e-mails, but I did just get a case of 12 quarts 20W50 engine oil delivered with free shipping. It arrived 3 days after ordering it on a weekend. Not bad. I paid $11.58/qt by buying a case.
