Default primary oil going into motor

I just bought a 98 electraglide with 70000 mi. on it. After 200 miles I find that the oil in the motor has a qt. to much oil in it and the primary is empty. I,m told the crank seal is bad so I have a new one instaled. The next day after 200 mi. I have the same thing happen. Any ideas on what the problem may be? Thanks for your time on this important matter.... Ugly

is there a vent tube cloged causing it to build pressure and force the oil thru the seal into the motor??? i think the primarys dont build any pressure or have vents but i could be wrong, this is strange. maybe the crankcase vents are blocked or clogged and causing a vacum to pull the oil threw. what a sh^tty thing to have happening. hope someone has a better answer than me

the only way primary oil could be pulled into the motor would be from a bad crank seal. a crack in the case or thru the bolts that hold the stator in. I believe two of them are tapped clear thru the case. if that was the case you would hear some noise but you said the seal was replaced so they would have to remove the stator to do that. this kind of thing is why I would never run automatic trans fluid in my primary like some guys do.

The stator leads should have a clamp holding them to the inner primary behind the magnet cup. If that clamp,or one of the two screws that hold it is missing you will pass primary oil to the crank. The clamp is only marginally necessary & the two screws are basically wood screws. If the screws are missing simply plug the holes with any screw that fits.

I think I found out what was going on. When I bought the bike the crank seal was instaled backwards. When the new one was put in they put it in like the old one came out...backwards
I'm putting in another this week. I'll keep you posted...Ugly
