I'm switching also to Mobil 1 15/50 tired of paying 10-12 bucks a
quart of amsoil or m1 v twin. I never push oil changes past 2800 miles so I thought this stuff would be fine. It also helped reading the posts here and seeing the UOA's on mobil 1 15/50.

Just doen't use it in your primary. Mobil doesn't recommend it.

I got a 5 litre jug at Walmart (canada) for $11 on the weekend. The only jug they had and I suspect they were clearing the shelf and wont be stocking it anymore. One litre of Vtwin 20-50 was $13!!!

+1 me too. Well just not this next season because I got free Syn3 and BelRay from my dealer when they replaced my IPB and the cases. But I have 3 quarts of my closeout $4/qt redline 20w50 and then I go to M-1 15w50. Saw it last night at Wallyworld for $24.50 for 5 qt jug.

I use it in the motor and primary been working great it doesnt have the friction modifiers in it so its not a problem with the clutches.

I thought 15-50 did have the modifiers or moly in it and that's whey Mobil does not recommend it in HD primaries.

I came from a metric which had a common sump for the motor and clutch. the general rule was if the little donut on the oil jug said energy conserving it wasnt to be used the mobile one 15w50 does not have that the harley clutches work the same as the metric bikes i have put over 30000 miles on wet clutches with the 15w50 mobile 1 and never had a problem.
