I hear you. Went out on the boat with some buddies on Wednesday and decided to take the bike. No bags, so used a net on the back with some boat shoes and shorts stuffed in one of the shoes.
Get to the dock and damned if one of the shoes had wiggled out between the hole in the net. And, of course it was the shoe in which I had rolled the shorts. One shoe, no shorts.
Had to roll up the jeans and go barefoot.
On the way back was on the lookout for the shoe. No joy. Got home only to find the other damn shoe worked itself free and lost as well.
Yes I want the top case carrier asap.

Added the tank knee pads, radiator guard and tall risers. All parts ordered off eBay (same seller/factory as the Aliexpress I’m sure)
Shipped to my door in about 7 business days. All parts look to be of great quality and most likely are from same factory as Harley branded ones.
Also installed the HD rear luggage rack; currently being used to mount a soft tail bag.
