This leads me to believe that your issue lies in the wiring connectors and they need to be de-pinned and inspected.

Sounds like most are just OK with the PA, and not over the hills about it. It is also disappointing that they are not quite so reliable.
An adventure bike will be second bike, to play in the dirt/ trails on. For the money and the use, I may grab a new KLR. From what I hav read they are kind of bullet proof

The KLR is indeed a reliable mule of a bike and have their following. So shame in them at all.

Less than 800 miles in 10.5 months. Always in the shop. The second dealer that worked on the bike in conjunction with Harley-Davidson discovered ARH wired incorrectly, bike back a week and no issues. Selling dealer wasn’t committed to it, second couldn’t more helpful. This is like coming home and your wife files for divorce, once you get over the fact she’s not coming back you start moving on….only to find her at the door one day asking for a second chance….and you just can’t quite get there again.

This past Sunday when my suspension would not lower, I tried bouncing on the pegs, and it did NOT correct itself. I know the bouncing on the pegs has worked for me ( it was either twofer three times ). So if it won't work the first time you try the technique may want to attempt it during another episode, just for fun.
