Default Stone chip on alloy fork lowers touch up coloure

I don’t know if anyone can help but I’ve picked up a stone chip on my left hand fork lower, it’s only a small chip but very obvious. The bike is a 2017 Street Glide Special with alloy coloured fork lowers. I’m thinking on just touching in the chip and am wondering if anyone has come across a close match to the fork coloureds. The forks are clear coated and I’m not wanting to repaint just touch up. I’ve tries aluminium and silver but both are still too dark.
Any advice would be much appreciated

hard to say without seeing. looking on google images does not help.
sounds like you might have a polished component. remember, it will never match so as not knowing it is there since clear coating will change perceived color also. often, a matte paint is used as a base and when the clear is added, will go glossy. i redo guitars at times and glossy over glossy does not work out well.
try filling in with clear or go to a paint shop where they can do color matching. worst come to worst, live with it or redo the whole assy. either way, $$$ is involved.
as a side note, if the metal is deformed, it will always show unless you feather it out.

Thanks busters, your right about it being a polished part. I gave it a buff with some HD polish and that reduced the darkness. I then gave it a coat of HD clear coat and that seems to have helped reduce it further. As I said it stands out to me but really I should get a life and live with it. The reality is, being forks it’s going to happen again. Thanks for your assistance though
