Maybe someone can help me? Im looking for the paint codes for a 1977 Sportster. Im ready to paint the bike. But would like to fine the right color that HD use back in 1977. The color I would like is Blue. Or even Black..

HD says my color is "Candy Crimson", '89 FXSTC. Need paint codes for this. Seems to be a tricolor. Thanks for any help.

 

The only crimson listed is from 1994 listed as a custom color
PPG# 51951 also this is just a plain pearl basecoat in PPG

 

Anyone got the paint code for "Lime Gold Flake" ? There's a sporty painted with it on page 740 of the 2013 parts and accessories catalog....I want to use it for a custom...

Did you every find somewhere to actually look at the paint color and corresponding code?

 

I am frustrated. I went to the ColorRite website to find the paint code for my 2006 Heritage softail Classic, but none of the colors matched. Mine is a two-tone paint. Red and white. Other codes I've looked into list the red paint as fireman red or cherry red...I can't figure it out.

 

the paint codes are on a sticker under the gas tank, also I just checked and I cant seem to find a red and white heritage classic ever made from 2005-2007. so could it have been painted at some point or are you the original owner? there is a red and silver but Im sure you can tell the difference between silver and white.

also for reds there are lava red sunglo , sierra red were used in 2005

normally Harley owners know the name of the color on their bikes its just how we are

 

I am the second owner. As for having been painted, its a possibility, but I tend to believe not. It is a 2006 Heritage Softail Classic. Both fenders, as well as the gas tank have the combination of a deep red and a white, or almost creamy color.

 

I think maybe I used a misnomer when I referred to the paint as "two-tone." This may make it seems as if it might be a blended paint. In fact, they are two distinct paints, white and red. I hope that helps.

 

I am aware of what two tone means but as I said before their is no information on a two tone red and white . just red and silver. you will have to remove the gas tank and read the sticker on the bottom to get the paint codes if it is indeed a factory paint job. if you lived nearby I could put my color camera on it and tell you exactly what colors they are.
