03 softail, bike seems to shift fine, but the clutch lever is getting stiffer and is harder to pull. Should I try lubeing the cable? Or is there a bigger problem I should be looking at?

 

i would try a little wd40 or bp blaster,probably a good time to replace it though.....

 

Get a proper cable lube which has graphite in it. I've brought many a cable back to life with a good lube job.
