Default Timer Cover replacement

I was hoping you guys could help out a novice mechanic. I have a 17 RGS and I just bought a new timer cover. The question is, when I take the old one off will fluids come out of the opening? Also, if fluids will come out, is it engine oil or primary fluids? Thanks for your help!

Nope, there is no fluid behind the timer cover. It is hollow. Used to be where the points were located on older bikes.
