Hi Im new to this I have a 94 Sportster 1200 When I take off in first gear every couple seconds my bike jerks like the gear is messed up once I’m out of first everything else feels grate just wondering what it could be and how hard it will be to fix it thanks

Derek, it may be as simple as needing to feather the clutch a little more and the jerking is simply the engine getting up to speed. I suggest you take some time out, fill the tank and ride around your local back roads until you need to refill the tank! As you get more familiar with your bike I suspect that jerking will disappear and the two of you will get on fine.
