I need to remove the kick starter gear , but it's stuck like a sailor in a nun.

i tried different pullers, but no luck .
What kind of pullers do you guys use for this 🤔
A link or picture , could be nice , so I know what to buy.

if you got any other advice i really appreciate it .

Thanks guys . 💪🏻

I'm sorry, but I can not see what you are working on, over here in TEXAS. Need more information, like what model, what year.

I'm guessing you are talking about the kicker gear on the end of a 4 speed trans mainshaft (left side).

HD makes a special tool to remove the gear without damaging it. If you don't have that tool, a gear puller will work but you need to protect the teeth on the gear you are removing, and an insert to protect the tapered (inside) end of the shaft the tool pushes on. If it is really stuck, a little heat will help but use as little heat as possible to avoid softening the metal.
