Bendix gear removal
Having one heck of a time removing the bendix gear off of the jack shaft. I've removed the nut from the end of the shaft but the piece just after it ( I think its called the spacer ) wont come off. I slides between the threads and the gear. Is this part threaded also or do I need to bang it off? any help is greatly appreciated.

If I understand what your asking it's #25 / 26 in the picture is the part that's stuck . Thread the nut back on the shaft 3 or 4 turns to not bugger the threads then tap the nut a few times to pop it loose . Good luck .
