I was thinking of fitting an F6F kit to the king to increase the strength of the box. I dont give a sheet about the 5th gear whine, I cant hear it above the pipes anyhow, but I do worry that the cruise drive is gonna struggle with the tq that the 124" is putting out. I have put 7000 miles on the bike with the big motor now and it seems to be handing it just fine.

Should I be worried about the 6 speed?? Is it a time bomb or what? Is the F6F the answer or should I bin the lot and fit a DD6??

 

get a baker 6 speed,best quality by far.i would also get a overdrive trans,not the DDS.i personally like them better.all your gears are the same ratio(may not be exact,but very close)with 5th still being 1-1,and you have a whole extra gear.when i test ride someone with a HD or DDS trans,it seems too close ratio to me.

F6F won't make it stronger. Likely be a weaker fifth with Baker helical, however either should be up to the task with either.
