Default 3.37 gear question

Gear Heads,
I saw a post about changing the final gear ratio from 3.15 to 3.37.
Compensating Sprocket with 24 Teeth, HD# 40269-85A and a Clutch Shell Basket, HD# 37846-99A which is a 37 Tooth Sprocket.
Does the gear change have any affect on the starter's ability to spin over the engine?
I thought I read in a post, that changing to the 3.37 gears puts more strain on the starter.
Spinning over slower like the starter is dragging? Less leverage?
I know the diameter of the gears are changed with the adding and subtracting of the number of teeth.
Do the gears mesh with the starter?
I never thought about it before.
For those that changed, did you notice any difference?
Do you have to install a high torque starter?

Thanks for your help,

Some year bikes used to come stock with 3.37 gearing. A good idea if you end up going with 3.37 gearing is to think about putting a 6 speed in.

I added 3.37 gears to my last bike without any other changes. They've been in for over 5 years with no issues.
