HI, im having problems putting this clutch together i got this bike in boxes i think that the trans is a 91-97 but not sure i bought the push rod kit for the trans and the left rod will not fit in the main shaft can anyone help is the 98-06 rod smaller in dia

 

Are you maybe talking about the short piece that goes in the clutch, just outboard of the long rod that goes through the mainshaft?
