Default 08 SG - rear drive sprocket loose?

I need some advise. I have my bagger rear wheel in the air, I have adjusted the drive belt as pr book, everything torqued properly.

Once I put the rear wheel on the ground, I decided to see if everything was tight, but when I try to rotate the drive belt sprocket I find it moves ever so slightly back and forth, (following the rotation of the belt). Is this because of the compensating cams in behind it or is this an indication of something wrong?

Because of the IDS compensator. There is a wear check procedure that you should be performing as outlined in service bulletin M1256

That damn Dawg is full of it - good info I mean. If you get it from him you can usually
take it to the bank imo.

It is not bolted to anything, it floats on rubber isolators(IDS) and an outboard bearing, it is "sandwiched" between the axle spacers and the wheel.

Thanks guys for the good info, I will have a look for that bulletin. Beats me why they make it so hard to find the bulletins, they should mail them to every owner. PM me please if anyone knows a repository for these.
