Default Any one use Belray in the trans??

I wanted to run Mobil gear oil in the trans I stopped at the dealer today for a filter and some primary oil. The tech their talked me into the Belray hyphoid gear oil.. Now I am wandering if I should return it oir not??

Belray hyphoid gear oil will be just fine in there and the HD transmissions like gear oil. I am curious what weight you are putting in there though?

Thanks for the reply it is BelRay Gear Saver sae 85w-140 Hypoid gear oil for a 2001Heritage the Harley dealer sold it to me. I have been questioning my purchase all afternoon.

I ran the same BelRay for a while. Liked it alright. I changed to Mobil 1 gear oil and like it better. But the BelRay is a quality product. I never had any problem with the BelRay, but my scoot seems to shift easier with the Mobil 1. Good luck with your decision.

Been running Belray 85-140 in my 07 Ultra as well as in my 2003 FXST 107". Good product and for sure moe than suficient for a HD gearbox

Bel Ray gear saver has been used by many dealers here for many years....you will like it.
