12,836kms or 7,700 miles 31 days, one awesome vacation. Thanks for all the suggestions especially ombill and etitanic.
The two things that impressed me the most were Edith Cavell Mountain, the drive there and Waterton National Park.

I did the Kaslo-New Denver-Nakusp route this summer, what a great ride. took the quickest route from home down, and from Kelowna on 33 down to Rock Creek and then over to Greenwood to visit a friend on Jewel Lake at his cabin. then we went over to Kaslo and across to New Denver, and north from Nakusp across the ferry to Revelstoke. came back thru Glacier Park. BC sure has some beautiful country and nice twisty roads.

Canadian riders...headed out next week on ride to BC and AB. Planning on heading east out of Canmore, AB and then south on 40 to 22 to Longview on the map below. Any of you folks have information on what kind of shape that road is in these days? Seems like a couple years ago it was closed because of flood damage. Thanks.

The 40 from Canmore to Longview is perfect.
Have a good safe ride.

Crowsnest Hwy

Up the 3A to Kootenay Bay, as you see it was very smoky.
