A great ride today... stayed to the route I said.... more on that a bit later... some picts....
Some nice twisty pieces....
.... someone’s view from there front deck.......
... something watching me eat lunch... didn’t seem to mind as it was a ham sandwich...
.... something to behold...
.... the only something left at the old Mine.

There are a very few special roads for me that would get a 10.... The Lolo, Kootenay Lake rd, Hells Canyon, Duffy Lake Rd to name a few .... and it is time to add another.... the road that goes from Wise River on the 43 south to just below Polaris and the 278..... it has everything, 8,000 ft Mountain Pass, tight twisties, big sweepers and beautiful Mountain views. There’s even a Hot Springs to test your weary bones.... and lots of campsites that looked mostly empty, even on Labor Day weekend. Put this on on your Bucket list, it is worthy.

Sure had a fine day, there. If you’re in need of a great coffee in the morning, a stop at Drum Coffee would be good. If you ride out of the Bel Air east it’s just a feed blocks on the left. Go straight east through that intersection where you’d normally turn to get on I90 and it’ll come up soon....probably 3 minute ride. Conoco on your right has ethanol free premium. My favorite: a cortado with an eggie as a first breakfast. Shameless plug here for one of the coffee spots my daughter and son-in-law have, but good stuff. It’s Drum Coffee because he’s the drummer for Fitz and the Tantrums.
Great coffee
Bill..... ahem.... you failed to mention the construction on 569.... lol.... that one drop down to the creek was fun.

.... over looking Grasshopper valley....

... Grasshopper Valley looking North... you gotta Run this road...
... towards the Yellowstone
