Towards San Francisco or Arizona?

Arizona information: Rt 66 from Needles to Kingman will take you through Oatman. A really neat old mining town. Kingman to Seligman on Rt 66 is a nice ride and the longest single piece of Rt 66 left.
Flagstaff to Sedona via 89A (Oak Creek Canyon) is a great ride. Sedona to Prescott through Jerome is also a great ride, and then on to Wickenburg.
If you have time to get further east, there is the Coronado Trail. Rt 191 from Alpine to Morenci. This is one of the top motorcycle roads in the US. Another great Az ride is Highway 60 from Show Low to Globe through Salt River Canyon.
There is also Grand Canyon if you are so inclined. You can spend a week in Az and probably not hit all the great riding.

"... If there isn't much to see or visit in Arizona ..." ?? Are you kidding me? in 2014 I spent a Month just in the area of Jacob Lake, Kaibab Plateau, North Rim of the Canyon. Billnourse is only guilty of Understatement. A Week? Give me Another Month at least, and then maybe a month in Southern Utah. Also especially enjoyed Mt. Lemon near Tucson.
I stayed a few days at Lake Tahoe just to visit friends. Wish I could have left after the first day. Way Too Crowded. Stop and Go traffic everywhere! Will not go back.
